Patsy Payling - Internal Door Sales Manager

'After working in Sales for 20 years, I decided to take the opportunity to apply for the role of Customer Service Manager within the Bradbury Door Sales department. I was initially attracted to the company due to their expansion plans and progressive attitude to business. The greatest difference that sets Bradbury apart from previous employers is their focus on progression – the company truly appreciates its employees by recognising and rewarding their efforts and performance.

Stuart Entwhistle - Team Leader

'I joined Bradbury Security in June 2014 after being made redundant from an Iron Foundry. I was taken on via an employment agency and my first role with the company was as a factory operative working in the final assembly area. I progressed quickly onto door assembly and into a full time contract. I remained on door assembly until October 2014 when I took over as temporary Team Leader, and in December of 2014 I was promoted to become permanent Team Leader of the Final Assembly line.

My role at Bradbury presents me with many challenges and a variety of tasks. I look after a team of 12 staff, I am also responsible for the final assembly of around 40-50 doors a day. In my opinion, Bradbury is a great place to work! It’s an ever growing company with a lot to offer its staff, whether that’s in basic fabrication or the final assembly area, right up to comprehensive machine training. The company offers real potential to progress and develop your career to those who are willing to work hard. There are a lot of exciting things happening at Bradbury Security, and anyone who works here is lucky to be part of it!'


Carl Heseltine - Grilles Department Manager

'I applied for a General Operative role at Bradbury Security Grilles in February 1996. I was 19 years old, Bradbury M.D Tim Strawson interviewed me and I started on my 20th Birthday (what a great day to start a new job!).

The early years were difficult for me… I was young and daft and I scraped through my first year with the company with a few sickies and lots of late days. I remember my then boss Fred saying that I was in the bed next to the door! That was the kick up the backside that I needed, and from that day I worked hard and was never late. During this period I began to gain trust and respect within the company.

In 1998 I was promoted to Team Leader, in 1999 to Supervisor and in 2004 I was made Production Manager, which is the position I still hold today (I like to call it Grilles Department Manager). I have responsibility for the whole department, from internal sales to production and management of staff.

I have seen lots of changes in my 20 years here, plenty of growth and expansion… I have had lots of highs and a few lows and through it all I have always been proud to work here at Bradbury Group. The company has always looked after me, and I like to think I look after the company. If anyone reading this is thinking about a career with Bradbury, I would say you would be joining an excellent company. You are not a number or a stat, you are a person – if you work hard and care for the company and its products, the company will care about you.'


Nigel Ellis - Purchasing Manager

'I joined the Bradbury Group three years ago following 12 years in the steel industry, 16 years in financial services and six years in manufacturing. I oversee a small team whose primary role is to provide goods and services to all the Bradbury business units at the right time, with the right quality at the right price. Bradbury prides itself in offering a bespoke made to measure door within ten days of the order being placed with us, so we are always operating within tight timeframes.

I believe any successful team requires a blend of experience and youth and you will find this at Bradbury. We are part of a progressive and fast-moving company where opportunities will always exist for the right candidate where hard work and ability will always be rewarded.'


Marcelle Rowbotham - Group Marketing Manager

'I joined the Bradbury Group on completion of a BA(Hons) Degree in English Language and Literature. My main motivation for joining was centred on the exciting growth potential that comes with joining a rapidly growing company. I began in the Internal Sales Department as an Order Processor, which enabled me to learn some of the more technical aspects of door production, and moved into the marketing department after six months. I was promoted to marketing manager after another six months - indeed, one of the best things about working for Bradbury is that there are no shortage of opportunities for those who work hard.
