Graduate Scheme – FAQ

Graduate Scheme Frequently Asked Questions

Q             Where is the Graduate Scheme based?

A             The first 12 months will be based at our Head Office in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire.  There are places to rent in the local area, plus it is in commuting distance from a number of cities.   Hull – 25 miles.  Lincoln – 28 miles. Doncaster – 26 miles.

Q             How would I be allocated a region at the end of the 12 month scheme?

A             We will discuss where you would like to be based during the recruitment process and match to business requirements.  We will help you to source accommodation and support your relocation.

Q             Can you provide any advice on what to put in my covering letter?

A             It is your opportunity to make a good first impression, so think about what we have asked you to cover and make sure you put it in your own words.  Don’t list all your skills, pick out a few which you feel demonstrate your suitability.  Finally, check your spelling & grammar.

Q             Will I receive any feedback on my application?

A             We will provide feedback following each of the interview stages of the recruitment process.

Q             Do you have to have the right to work in the UK?

A             Unfortunately, we are unable to employ anyone who does not have the legal right to work in the UK.  You will be asked to provide evidence of your entitlement to work in the UK during the recruitment process.

Q             I don’t have a full driving license, can I still apply?

A             The Business Development Manager position is field based, therefore, you will be required to have a full driving license.  You can apply if you are having lessons, however any offer of employment will be conditional on you having passed your test prior to the start date.

Q             When should I expect to hear about the progress of my application?

A             We will keep you updated on the status of your application after each stage of the recruitment process, usually within 2 weeks.  The majority of the contact will be via email.

Q             I have a question that isn’t answered here, who can I contact?

A             For any other queries or questions, please send an email to
