Business Development Manager

Bradbury Group is the nation’s leading provider of physical security solutions. We manufacture an extensive series of steel doors for security, fire, flood and acoustic requirements. The many subsidiaries and sister companies of the Group allow us to also offer communal doors, grilles, cages, bar sets, crowd control gates, and kiosks. Bradbury Group has developed greatly over the last few years, and recently moved into an £8m state-of-the-art facility to facilitate this. In response to increasing demand, we are currently in the process of expanding our field based sales team.

The Role
The purpose of this role is to work with the Directors and other members of the sales team in the generation and management of the sales strategy and regional business plans. This will be achieved through working with marketing data and following through with client engagement, key account management, engagement with key stakeholders and potential partner organisations with subsequent action plans to convert opportunities into tenders.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
• Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
• Arrange business meetings with prospective clients
• Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives
• Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines
• Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc.
• Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
• Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
• Develop entry level staff into valuable salespeople
• Providing sales forecasts, monthly and to present daily figures to director
• Attending exhibitions
• Project management skills

Experience & Skills
• Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role
• Proven sales track record
• Experience in customer support is a plus
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Proficiency in English
• Market knowledge
• Communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to build rapport
• Time management and planning skills
• BSc/BA in business administration, sales or relevant field
• Excellent attention to detail
• Confidence with numbers
• Good spoken and written communication skills
• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Good organisational and time management skills
