Tim Strawson Wins Leadership Award

Tim Strawson, founder and Managing Director of Bradbury Group, has won a prestigious regional business award at this year’s EEF Future Manufacturing Awards.

Tim won the Leadership Award, which celebrates the achievements of outstanding leaders and the significant contribution they make to their business and UK manufacturing. This accolade adds to Tim’s already impressive collection, which most recently includes the Wilkin Chapman Grange ‘Business Person of the Year’ award from the 2015 Hull & Humber Chamber of Commerce Business Awards, where we also saw Bradbury take home the Forrester Boyd award for ‘Business Excellence.’

Tim was up against stiff competition for the award from individuals from a range of innovative businesses – small and large – from across the region. The selection was made by a panel of judges drawn from business leaders, industry experts and academics, after impressing them with his entrepreneurial vision that has helped the company grow immeasurably, and his contribution to the local community through the charitable enterprise Youth Engineering Services.

Tim Strawson, Managing Director at Bradbury Group Ltd, says: “Manufacturers work hard to ensure the success of their business, so I am honoured to have been recognised in this way. This award is not about individual effort though, it is for the hard working and talented team that I work with, without whom this achievement would not have been possible.”

Andy Tuscher, Yorkshire and Humber Region Director at EEF, says: “Strong, dynamic and inspiring leadership is the cornerstone of a successful business, and manufacturers continue to lead the way. Our sector is setting the pace on productivity and is also on the cusp of a technology driven new industrial era. Leadership skills will be vital if we are to remain at the top of our game. This award is justly deserved and Tim should be applauded for his efforts. We wish Tim the best of luck for the national finals.”
