We Are Bradbury Group

You may be familiar with our industry-leading product range, but for those of you who aren’t well acquainted with the brands that make up our Group and how they are paving the way for physical security solutions, we have broken it down in this article.

We have specialised in physical security solutions since 1991, originally trading as Bradbury Security Grilles which was set up by our now Group Chairman Tim Strawson. Over the decades we have expanded to three sites across England and Scotland, including a 135,000 sq ft manufacturing facility in North Lincolnshire.

With over 25 years of technical knowledge and experience in the industry, we are one of the nation’s leading manufacturers, suppliers and installers of metal doorsets. We’re not just vendors – we offer a comprehensive and professional service including a survey to installation package internationally. Our reputation and expertise has allowed us to be trusted globally as suppliers to some of the world’s most prominent brands including IKEA and McDonald’s.

Our steel doors are suitable for industrial, commercial and domestic uses, available with a wide range of security, fire, flood and acoustic accreditations. As well as offering these security solutions, we also supply an extensive range of security grilles, cages, crowd control gates and bar sets. Utilising state of the art production equipment and high-quality materials, all of our products are bespoke-engineered and manufactured to exact requirements. With our ongoing investment in third-party certifications we proudly hold the best standards in company and product accreditations to meet industry and customer requirements.

Our Subsidiaries

Bradbury Group is split into four divisions: Bradbury Security, Liddle Doors, Newton Security Doors and Martin Roberts, with the latter three being subsidiaries of Bradbury. With these four renowned companies coming together we are able to offer a substantial portfolio of physical security products, available with a comprehensive range of third-party accreditations. Newton Security Doors was the first to join Bradbury Group back in 2011, Martin Roberts was next to join in 2016 and Liddle Doors is the newest member joining in 2019.

Alongside steel security doors for personnel, substations and fire exits, the brand’s offering includes a range of high security bar sets and collapsible crowd control gates.

History

Originally named Bradbury Security Grilles, specialising in the manufacture of window grilles, what you know today as Bradbury Group was started in Luton by Tim Strawson, employing just three other staff. In 1994, we moved onto a bigger premises in Scunthorpe and began partnering with various independent companies with similar purposes and values. This led to the formation of Bradbury Group in 2001, which has since become one of the UK’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of innovative physical security solutions, keeping the nation’s infrastructures safe. Our group companies enabled us to increase what we offer, not only just with products but also expertise and services. With a quarter of a century of combined experience, we have developed a workforce of industry experts, allowing us to provide exceptional technical knowledge and highly specified products.

Bradbury Academy

Since 2014, Bradbury have been in partnership with North Lindsey College, after being advised to look into young talent. When discovering the best apprenticeship scheme to suit our business, we set up Bradbury Academy. The academy offers apprentices the unique opportunity to work towards an NVQ Level 3 whilst gaining work experience. We originally offered six apprentices the experience with the company and later accepted an additional three with a range of experience from both HETA and North Lindsey College. We wanted to help create a clear career path for our apprentices, therefore full-time employment was offered at the end of their training.

The academy has made a positive impact on Bradbury Group, highlighting the benefits an apprentice can bring to a business. We have offered multiple jobs in many different departments from engineering to marketing and IT.

Ends.
