The Overview
During the refurbishment and new build of a Victorian station, the international railway station, St Pancras was in need of a series of new fire defence doorsets to help secure the newly renovated site. The contractors of the project, which involved a consortium of companies, appointed Martin Roberts to provide a suitable door solution to help secure the site.
The Solution
The Martin Roberts’ engineers manufactured and fitted 600 new doorsets to the site, primarily to the service areas of the building, although some were also fitted to the platform interfaces.
The mix of doors fitted included fire doors, acoustic doors, and steel personnel doorsets.
As experienced project managers and manufacturers of a premium product, Martin Roberts were a secure choice for the contractors. The now-famous international rail terminal is a key transport hub for the UK, so it’s security and protection from fire is paramount. Martin Roberts was pleased to play their part.
